OQYANA Limited Dubai held the 4th Design Workshop which ran from the 12th to 15th of February 2008 at The Monarch Hotel in Dubai. The workshop was attended by the project management company Proman/Hill International and senior representatives of world-renowned consultants from; HOK, GDC (Consortium of Belt Collins, Think, GDP and Hirsch Bedner), Al-Jazeera Consultants, Scott Wilson Krikpatrick Ltd, Engineering Consultants Group, Trafalgar Technical Services, Olive-VFM, Cushman & Wakefield Hotels and Refad.

On the second day of the workshop the consultants were escorted on a site visit to OQYANA World First islands. After full reclamation, the trip was a good opportunity for the consultants to investigate the site location and the ground and surrounding water quality at this critical stage of the design. Participants had a unique chance to view the fabulous panorama of Dubai skyline from the islands and experience the atmosphere of being on OQYANA World First.

The workshop falls within a series of workshops to bring the world class community into reality.
